Mike Drexel of Schenectady won the $3,000 top price Sunday in the Joe Donato Scratch Singles tournament, defeating Brian LeClair of Athens 257-196 in the final at Towne Academy. LeClair, who had just returned from the PBA World Championship in Michigan, earned $1,500.


There were 388 entries in the three-week tournament.


In the semifinals, Drexel defeated Jason Baker 235-188, and LeClair eliminated Mike Sand 235-183. The semifinal losers each won $600.
