The Albany Knickerbocker Sirens are hosting the Northeast Rugby Union's Division II Women's Championship April 27-28 at Lincoln Park in downtown Albany. The Village Lions WRFC, Hartford Wild Rose WRFC, Ithacha Iguanadons WRFC and Burlington Women's RFC will all be competing for the title. The Lions will face Burlington, Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m. to be followed by Hartford and Ithaca at 3 p.m. Sunday's consolation match will start at noon and the championship will kick off at 2 p.m. HVCC travels to Cooperstown: Hudson Valley and SUNY Cobleskill are scheduled to play a double-header at Cooperstown's Doubleday Field Sunday. Game times are 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Larue to compete in Toughman: Jason ``The Beast'' Larue will be fighting in the Original Toughman Contest today at the Achilles Rink in Schenectady. Averill Park track meet Monsignor Farrell High of Staten Island will compete against 10 Section II schools today in the 5th Annual Big-Eight track and field meet at Averill Park High School.

Other area schools competing besides Averill Park include Colonie, Bethlehem, Schenectady, Guilderland, Shenendehowa, Saratoga Springs, Schuylerville, La Salle Institute and Lansingburgh.

The meet, which features both boys and girls competition, starts with field events at noon. The running events start at 1 p.m.
